Technician Seal of Safety

In our never-ending quest to find better ways to serve you, we are introducing a new program that will assure you that you are relying on the most trustworthy, considerate, and safety-minded contractor in your area.

What is the “Technician Seal of Safety”?

This mark, when displayed by a contractor, indicates our dedication to protecting the safety and well-being of you and your family.  Before you became our customer, did you ever open your door to a service repairman only to feel extremely uncomfortable once he was inside your house?

It’s not something many people think about until it’s too late, but anyone who might feel uncomfortable at home alone with a service technician deserves to know they are safe from harm, including:

  • women at home alone or with small children during the day
  • elderly homeowners
  • disabled individuals
  • anyone else who is concerned about their personal safety and the security of their home and their belongings

Look for the Technician Seal of Safety

You can minimize your risk when hiring a contractor by going with one who displays the “Technician Seal of Safety”.  You owe it to yourself and your family to make sure that you are inviting individuals into your home who have been screened by a criminal background check and who are routinely tested for illegal drug use.

That’s why we display this symbol, to let you, the homeowner, know at a glance that we stand out from the crowd when it comes to protecting the safety of you and your family.

Now, most contractors in the home services business do not bother to practice such stringent policies as background checks, routine drug testing, and professional training.  But that’s what distinguishes us from all the rest.  When you see the “Technician Seal of Safety” you know you’re dealing with a professional who cares about your personal safety, the safety of your family, and the well-being and security of your home.

Don’t Take Chances … Only Hire a Contractor who Bears the “Technician Seal of Safety”

While it is not our intent to scare anyone, we feel obligated to mention that there are random acts of violence against homeowners by contractors.

  • Last year, a Florida woman was killed by a registered sex offender who was performing duct cleaning in her home.  If only the company hiring him would have performed a background check.
  • In another instance, a service technician in the Minneapolis area was convicted on several counts for stealing from customers’ homes.  Not the type of guy you want to let out of your sight in your house.
  • Last year, an unsuspecting housewife in Missouri hired a “Cheap Charlie” electrician only to have him call back two weeks later and make lewd remarks over the telephone.  What if this guy had done more than just make telephone calls?

Important Enough to Make Background Checks the Law

Based on the unfortunate incident in Florida, five women legislators from the State of Georgia have sponsored a bill that would require employers to conduct criminal background checks on workers before they would be allowed to enter the home.  The sponsors wrote the bill with women in mind, since women are more likely than men to be home alone for service calls.  For more information on this law, click here.

Steve Andersen – President

Welcome, I’m Steve Andersen, president of Centennial Roofing Co.  I’m excited for the opportunity to introduce to you our company as well as our policies and procedures. We believe that you should know about our experience and practices since, if given the opportunity, you will be placing your trust in our ability to provide you with a quality roof and a smooth installation process.Your roof not only protects your home, it also enhances its beauty and influences its value.  It is a vital element of your homes’ design and elegance.  Therefore, great care and judgment should be exercised in the proper choice of a professional roofing contractor…one who has a reputation for competence and reliability.

When you compare “apples to apples” you will find that many of our products and installation procedures are NOT COMMON PRACTICES in our industry.  If you listen closely to our competitors, it’s pretty easy to see the difference between their procedures and ours.  Stating, “No one Installs a Better Roof” may sound a little bold, —But No Company Does!

Thank you again for allowing me to share this information with you.  I hope you will gain valuable insight into the roofing industry and what our company can provide for you.  If I can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to call at any time.  I appreciate this opportunity and would sincerely like to earn your business.

Debbie Andersen -Vice President

I, along side of my husband Steve, started Centennial in 1983.  We started out small with Steve selling and me doing the office work.  Since that time the company has grown significantly and our reputation for quality, integrity and courtesy contributed to that growth.  In managing the office my goal is to make sure the day to day operations run smoothly and that our customers are 100% satisfied.  When not working, I enjoy time with my husband, family activities, and involvement in my church, Hillcrest Baptist Church in Cedar Hill.

Ryan Andersen – Technician

Ryan began his roofing career at the age of ten when he began riding along with his father Steve.  After graduating from high school, Ryan enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served as an Air Traffic Controller.  Today, Ryan has worked for Centennial full time for 3 years and part time for 4 years prior. Ryan lives in Midlothian, with his wife Rachel.  He is currently a reservist in the Marine Corp and a member of First Baptist Church Midlothian.

Tim Andersen – Technician

My name is Tim Andersen. Roofing is a job that I have grown up around and have learned to love over the years.  As long as I can remember, I have been climbing on roofs for the family owned business, Centennial Roofing.  My dad, owner and founder, my mom, Debbie, my brother, Ryan, and myself have been an important part of the success Centennial continually has each year.  I took a leave of absence from the company after graduating from Red Oak High School and joined the United States Marine Corp in the fall of 2003.  This would mark the start of a four-year long journey of serving my country.  While proudly serving, I earned the rank of Corporal and served one nine-month tour in Iraq.  After returning home from deployment and serving my time in the Marine Corps, I settled back into Texas after years of being away from home.  Centennial Roofing has always been a part of my life and I look forward to the continuing growth of the company.

Nic Paul – Production Manager

I joined the Centennial Roofing team this past March. I am from Fort Myers, FL. where I grew up.  I worked as a superintendent for 2 of the 6 years that I have spent in construction. Because of my grandfather’s construction company and father’s guidance, I have had great experience in the constructing of homes and commercial buildings.  Now as the Productions Manager for Centennial my goal is for 100% satisfaction and quality service to all our clients.  When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters.  I also enjoy out door activities such as hunting, fishing, golfing, and water sports.  I am thankful for how God has blessed me and my family with the opportunity to work for Centennial and to serve in this community.  I look forward to working with you as a Centennial satisfied client.

Dennis Nowicki – Technician

Dennis Nowicki has joined Centennial Roofing with a life long career in selling solutions. Once employed in the corporate world of software, migration into another realm of selling was an easy transition. With an Espre de Corpe ownership of getting things done right, acquired in the Army Medical Corp, his every action is completely benefiting his customers that believe in quality and completeness towards getting the right roof installed. With a blend of business and family he enjoys his time with 5 grand children while boating and RVing whenever possible. His spiritual beliefs and family morals are always reflected in the honesty he reveals to his clients. The future is bright with fulfillment and commitments to always strive for perfection.

Heather – Client Care Representative

I am the only daughter in the Andersen family, so it is fitting that I join the office team where we always strive for complete customer satisfaction. I worked for Centennial for several years on and off and now full time since November of 2007.  I am married to a wonderful man and have two wonderful daughters.  Outside the office I am a soccer mom and coaches wife.  We enjoy movies, spending time together and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Kelly – Client Care Representative

I joined the team in March of 2009. My family and I moved to Texas after years of traveling. My husband, serving 14 years in the military and still serving, decided to make Texas our home, be close to family and friends. I am committed to providing you with outstanding customer service and look forward to working with you.
