Repairs

Does your roof really need to be replaced, when it might just need repairing?  We offer up to a 5 year warranty on repairs.  We offer repairs on residential homes and commercial buildings.

Getting a roof repaired is something most homeowners dread, and when the roof does need repair, it is important to get not only the finest quality materials available but the best price on installing those materials as well.  Most of us will start the process by getting an estimate of roof repair from a few roofing contractors, and it is important for all homeowners to learn how to read this important document properly.

Many Texas roofing contractors do not do roofing repairs, and will insist on a brand new roof.  Depending on your budget or the actual problems that your roof may have, you may not need a brand new roof.

At Centennial Roofing, we inspect your roof with our 17 Point Roof Inspection- Our professional roofing technicians are thoroughly trained to find all of the issues associated with repairing or replacing your roof.  This helps to keep from covering up a problem, or leading to costly unexpected changes.

At Centennial Roofing, we take tremendous pride in our reputation as the best roof repair contractor in our industry.  By offering excellent support, our customers are confident they will be taken care of.

When was the last time you gave your roof a tune up?  If you are like most homeowners, the only time you think about your roof is when there is a major storm, or if there is a leak of some kind.

The most important reason for establishing a maintenance program is to protect the homeowner’s investment.  A properly executed maintenance will not only add years to the life of the roof, but it will detect minor problems before damage is widespread.

However, your roof can be maintained.  In fact, the National Roofing Contractors Association recommends that your roof be inspected at least once a year.  Doing this can prolong the life of your roof, and give you the peace of mind that your roof is up to whatever Mother Nature has to dish out.

We repair composition, slate, concrete tile, metal, fireplaces, skylights, modified, TPO, EPDM and built-up roofing.

Materials

A new roof may be the largest investment you will put into your home and there are literally hundreds of products, colors and styles to choose from.  In most cases, 50% of what you see when looking at a house is the roof.  The right product and color can increase the value of your home and on the other side, choosing wrong colors, products or installation procedures can be extremely disappointing and costly as well.  We have taken great strides to continually increase our knowledge of all of the products available as they appear on the market.  This enables us to show you a complete array of choices and increases the likelihood of you finding the perfect roof for your unique home.

When it comes to roofs, it is true that “Quality doesn’t cost, it pays”.  Your financial decisions should be based on aesthetics, resale value, warranties, longevity, insurance discounts and claim proceeds.  Certain shingle products in Texas classify under a U.L. 2218 rating that allows a consumer to lower their baseline homeowner insurance by up to 38%.  Other products can increase a homes resale value up to 10% and others just make good common sense due to their longevity.

On the next few pages you will find a brief overview of the major shingle categories to start you on your way, however, brochures and shingle samples are always the best information sources.  Because there are a lot of decisions to make when considering a new roof, we hope you will accept our help in narrowing down your choices from the many available products.  It is important to us that you experience complete satisfaction with your new roof and that we continue to enjoy our solid reputation for customer care and expertise in the roofing industry.

Tab Shingles

Tab shingles are designed to be an economical solution when installing a new roof. This shingle style usually comes with 20-25 yr. manufacture warranties, and range in weight from 190-240lb. per 100sq. ft.  The advantage of this shingle type is in its price, the disadvantage lies in its overall wind resistance and aesthetic appearance. The design has a very flat appearance and can telegraph decking imperfections making them much more noticeable. View photos »

Laminated Shingles

Laminated Shingles are designed  to resemble wood shingles.  If appearance is an influential factor in addition to function, these value-added shingles have a number of different looks and color blends giving the roof a “layered” look.  These shingles  generally come with 25-50yr. manufacture warranties and weigh between  230-360lbs. per square.  These laminated shingles weigh more and are stronger than economy shingles and, as a result, offer a greater degree of wind, tear and blow-off resistance in addition to greater value and longer warranties.  Most are available with fungus resistance. Designer Shingles

Designer Shingles are the “flagships” shingles of their respective manufacturers.  Each is unique in appearance and designed to give a specific look while out performing other standard shingles.  Most of the manufacturers have designed different styles to emulate natural products like wood shingles, slate, and tiles, while others have unique styles of their own.  These products generally come with 40yr. to lifetime warranties. While the initial investment may be a little more than standard laminated shingles, the increased resale value and over all aesthetic appearance of the home can easily justify the expense.  View photos »

Aluminum Shingles

Aluminum Shingles can dramatically change the overall appearance of a home.  The contemporary styles and colors make for a very rich and elegant roof design.  Today’s new paint finishes have been proven and can be trusted to give years of trouble free service.  Aluminum is one of the most energy efficient types of roofing material, and probably the most environmentally friendly.  On the right style of home, this type for material is extremely difficult  to beat.  View photos »

Steel Shingles

Steel Shingles are quickly becoming a staple in the roofing industry.  There are two primary coating  advancements that have enabled steel shingle products to excel.  As mentioned in the aluminum section, specialized paint finishes have now been proven to be very reliable.  Stone coated steel is another technology that has been around long enough to earn our trust.  With this introduction, steel can be formed and colored to give an extremely deep and rich appearance that can drastically increase the resale value of any home.  View photos »

Slate Roofs

Slate Roofs are in a category by themselves.  Dramatic and Elegant, slate roofs have been used for centuries to protect and beautify the more distinguished homes. Ranging in color from soft sea greens to brilliant reds few products can match its style and performance.  With a true life expectancy of 100+yrs, good quality slate is obviously a once in a lifetime choice. Tru Slate (by GAF/ELK) is an old product with a new twist. Slate has always been considered and expensive investment and until now it was not normally used as a re-roof product, primarily because of its weight. Tru Slate has solved both of these problems by interlacing real half slates with a polypropylene split felt. By designing this product, consumers can get a real slate roof for half the weight and at almost half the price. View photos »

Tile Roofs

Tile Roofs come in hundreds of unique styles and colors.  They can resemble the more traditional barreled style or be made to look a lot like wood shingles or slate.  Clay or cement tiles can last a lifetime and can beautifully enhance the curb appeal of a home.  New advancements have allowed tiles to be made lighter, however, as a whole they are heavier than most other roofing products.  It is important to ensure the roof structure has been designed appropriately to handle the weight if this is your product of choice.  View photos »
